Krakowskie Zaduszki Jazzowe - the All Souls Jazz Festival in Krakow

Very likely Krakow's All Souls Jazz Festival, known in Poland as Krakowskie Zaduszki Jazzowe is Europe's oldest jazz festival. It has attracted both Polish and foreign jazzmen as well as jazz fans every year in early November for over half century. Music has been changing in keeping with current trends, also venues and performers, but some features remain constant. One is stylistic diversity, another the tradition of a jazz Holy Mass that takes place in one of Krakow's ancient churches on the All Souls Day, November 2, or one of the following evenings.

October 29th, Thursday.  
7:30 p.m. 
Jazz concert features Poland's jazz trio of bass guitarist Krzysztof Scieranski, saxophonist and vocalist Marek Stryszowski, and percussionist Slawomir Berny.
Venue: Pracownia pod Baranami club, 27 Rynek Glowny central square.
Admission 30 PLN.

8:00 p.m. 
Jazz concert features Grzech Piotrowski One World.
Venue: Strefa club, 31 sw. Tomasza street.

8:30 p.m. 
Concert Tyrmand to Jazz features Poland’s jazzmen violinist Krzesimir Debski, Tadeusz Studnik, rapper Eskaubei, Tomasz Nowak Quartet, and clarinetist Leslaw Lic.
Venue: ICE Krakow Congress Center, 17 Konopnickiej street and Monte Casino street.
Admission 80 PLN.

October 30th, Friday.  
7:00 p.m. 
Show Still It Isn’t Evening Yet features Poland’s jazz vocalist and saxophonist Marek Stryszowski, keyboardist Cezary Chmiel, trumpeter Tomek Kudyk, and dancer Magdalena Malik. . 
Venue: Mediateka culture center, 3 Plac M. Skulimowskiego square in Wieliczka.
Admission 30 PLN.

October 31st, Saturday.  
6:00 p.m. 
Jazz concert features Poland’s duo of pianist Krzysztof Kobylinski and guitarist Maciek Pysz, Austria’s Simon Raab Trio, and P{oland’s OneNess quartet of accordionist Oleg Dyyak, cellist Maciej Lacny, bassist Wojciech Front, and violinist Jaroslaw Tyrala.  
Venue: Nowohuckie Centrum Kultury culture centre, 232 al. Jana Pawla II.
Admission 30 PLN.
